Recently, C-Home is interviewing some students who is learning Chinese here. They are interviewed about their lives in Ningbo and some interesting things in their Chinese-learning classes. In this current issue, we invited a handsome boy from Scotland to talk about his feelings and experience in Ningbo. Now let's see his story……
1. What’s your name? Where are you from?
My name is Jason. I’m from Scotland.
2. How long have you lived in Ningbo and what do you do here?
I’ve lived in Ningbo since August 2015. And I teach science at NBIS school.
3. Are there Chinese students in your class?
Hmm...a couple.
4. Being so far away from home, how have you made Ningbo your second home?
I made some good friends and I’ve also been busy.
5. Have you ever been to another city in China?
Yes, Shanghai, Yiwu.
6. Why do you choose Ningbo as your workplace and living place?
Hmm...everything is totally at random and through the agency.
7. Are there anything interesting or awkward when you first came to Ningbo?
Yeah...No...But just language. I have to act.
Use body language?
Yeah...use body language.
8. How do you get involved with C-Home?
Through a leaflet.
9. How has it enriched your stay in the city?
Well, I can understand more. To choose the food and else by ordering food.
10. Are there anything interesting happen in your Chinese class?
Hmm....A lot fun.
11. What do you think of your teacher Ann?
Yes, she is funny, laotaitai.
12. And what do you think of C-Home?
Yes, good, very good, a good company. You know, very helpful.
13. Could you give some advice to C-Home and its teachers?
More strict work to force me.
14. Could you give some learning tips to Chinese-learning beginners?
Study.
Just study?
Yeah, very often. And you should practice.
Yes, practice makes perfect.
15. What’s your future plan?
Staying in Ningbo for maybe a couple more years.
So you are not going to settle in Ningbo?
I don’t know. Maybe two or three years in Ningbo and somewhere else.
